About CIPGC
The Central Illinois Planned
Giving Council is the professional association for people in this
geographical area whose work includes developing, marketing, and
administering charitable planned gifts. The CIPGC was founded in
1993. Its members include development professionals for nonprofit
institutions and consultants and donor advisors who work in a variety of
for-profit settings. As a chapter of the Partnership for
Philanthropic Planning, the Central Illinois Planned Giving Council is a not-for-profit
organization.
Purpose
The aim of the Central Illinois Planned Giving Council is to facilitate,
coordinate, and encourage the education and training of the planned
giving community, to act as a catalyst for effective communication among
the many different planned giving professionals, and to advocate planned
giving options
Public Trust
Gift planners shall, in all dealings with donors, institutions and other
professionals, act with fairness, honesty, integrity and
openness. Except for compensation received for services, the terms of
which have been disclosed to the donor, they shall have no vested
interest that could result in personal gain.
